What happened at Acclarent happened because the company was founded on fraud and JNJ needs to distance from that fraud-it has nothing to do with the device tax. How does JNJ worth a reported $68 billion justify cutting jobs because of a 2.3% tax. Bigger question at Acclarent, why didn't JNJ finish a study that would have cost them $2 million for Stratus?

Does anyone use this information for territory planning? I would think it would be helpful to find all the doctors in your territory who get paid by companies and go after them. The money grabbers are usually the busiest and have open ears as long as you pay them some how.

Why would someone care if these devices get 510k exemptions? They are safe, effective, and the manufacturing process is established. Academics and bloggers are probably the ones who take issue with the decision. Bloggers and news sites need their page hits up and need to increase social media followers. Anything to remain relevant.

Nice infographic. I would argue that cloud connectivity and analytics are very important as instant communication between doctor and patient become more important. We're in a world where a doctor should be able to have the ability to monitor their patients from all corners of the globe.
