Verb Surgical with JNJ and Google

The intuitive Surgical beater. The next great thing. Johnson & Johnson is an innovative company again. I remember thinking all of this when the deal with Google was announced. Verb was going to become the most innovative company in the medical device industry and the robotic surgery applications they come up with would be so far advanced that no one would be able to compete.

How many years has it been since the deal was announced? Long enough and I can't name a single thing they've come out with or project they've announced.

Please share anything about Verb and what they are working on. I get the feeling we've been fleeced.

All the silence about what is being developed makes me think they could be working on multiple robotic projects, including something in Spine. If there is anyone at NASS this week, there could be hints at the booth or in presentations. Report back!

Google, Verily, Verb, whatever has never delivered on a medical device. JNJ, Alcon, Dexcom, GSK, Sanofi, etc should stop holding their breath. So much hype and wasted money.

Such a joke. Total marketing ploy.

It's suppose to be a partnership but it seems that the blind is leading the blind. Google has more vested money in it, so money talks.

It's kind of like when the homecoming queen says yes to the biggest nerd in school. JNJ is the nerd in this relationship and they are just happy to be going to the dance with the biggest tech company in the world because it makes them feel cooler about themselves.

There's no substance, i.e. no robot or product, but having a silicon valley lab with such a player is good enough. Make sure you frame the picture from the dance to show all your friends.

Is Google or JNJ running the show?
