This deal was offered to JNJ in March but they just accepted. Similar to what other people are posting, it does seem like JNJ is working towards selling off a lot of their businesses on the device side.

Platinum Equity said Oct. 2 its $2.1 billion buy of LifeScan from Johnson & Johnson has closed. LifeScan provides blood glucose monitoring products.
