Depuy Synthes Jabil

Thoughts on this from the JNJ board?

Huge chunk of DePuy Synthes was divested to Jabil. Now JNJ will eliminate or reduce the DePuy Synthes product codes made at these Jabil facilities, and Jabil will eliminate thousands of jobs.

I feel sorry for the monument employees who were transferred to Jabil. Everyone makes fun of JNJ on these forums but the benefits were better than average. For the largest healthcare company in the world, admittedly they should be better but still, they are probably better than Jabil's. Now these employees will have all of their benefits turned upside down just so JNJ and Gorsky could save a couple of bucks.

I bet Jabil has similar benefits. JNJ way overrated.

Certain Ortho and neurologic products are starting to be manufactured by Jabil in 2019 but don't fret, JNJ expects to save between $600 million and $800 million each year beginning 2022 because of the outsourcing deal with Jabil.

JNJ has made it clear the Synthes acquisition was a mistake. How else can you explain why they divested most of Synthes to Jabil after the FDA warning letter was lifted?

Another example of JNJ's lack of commitment to their device business.
