Who has watched Netflix's 'Dirty Money'

Fantastic is an understatement.

Best documentary on short selling that I've ever seen. It's about the collapse of Valeant and the work by short sellers Fahmi Quadir, Roddy Boyd and John Hempton was top notch. Valeant comes out looking like the pharmaceutical equivalent of Enron.

Short sellers actually look like the good guys. It brought a whole new perspective to the social conscious they bring to investing, big pharma and fraud.

Which documentary are you referring to?

It is called 'The Bleeding Edge' and it is coming out on Netflix.

Man, Netflix is really going after healthcare companies with these documentaries. First this one and now there is another one coming out that goes after the medical device business.

Spouting the liberal left agenda nonetheless.

nothing cause she didn't sell it yet. She's waiting for 0$ but it will probably never happen. The new team have made a good work so far to turnaround the business model and return in classic R&D investment

Seriously? She never sold/closed out of her short?

How much did Fahmi Quadir make on her Valeant short sale?

It would be a good series indeed. The level of fraud at Valeant before they got caught was insane. It was movie or book worthy. It really is sad that this type of fraud is probably going on at other companies in pharma still.

When's the episode on Papa?

Don't forget the man crush Bill Ackman had on Michael Pearson. It was the crush that ultimately lost him and his company lots of cash.

It was a crush but still...how does an educated investor with a great track record not see the fraud prior to investing in Valeant. He really didn't think something was fishy?

post

They could make a six part series about the fraud and drama at Valeant. Start with Philidor.

Philidor too.

No negative story about Valeant surprises me at all, especially considering former Valeant executive Gary Tanner and Andrew Davenport used secret shell companies to get rich by illegally converting Valeant shareholders' money into their own personal nest eggs. Philidor was the bomb.

I guess Bill was enamored by a CEO that thought research was worthless (and risky) and loved acquiring foreign companies for tax benefits. What a winner.

The Dirty Money documentary confirmed Martin Shkreli has the most punchable face in pharma.

There is so much wrong with this guy.
