Why isn't there any Open Payment data for Mimedx?

Did it disappear?

Did Petit and his cronies forget to submit it? is that even legal?

Is it possible that Mimedx didn't pay physicians last year? They didn't even reimburse physicians for a hotel room that was used during a training event? Well, that seems unlikely, doesn't it?

products that are hct/ps (human cell, tissue or cellular and tissue based products) and meet the FDA definition of minimally manipulated and homologous use are regulated solely under Section 361 Part 1271 of the PHSA and are not considered a drug, biologic or device. They are regulated in a separate class of hct/ps within the FDA, specifically the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). CBER has jurisdiction over Section 361 hct/ps. They are not labeled as drug, biologic or device. Essentially these products don't have to report, because of this. Somewhat of a loop hole. I am sure that Congress's intent was not to leave this class of products out of the Sunshine Act / public reporting. Other companies with hct/ps that fall under CBER don't report either.

You are 100% right and thank you for the explanation. And you are also correct in saying this is a loophole. It's still shady though and certain MiMedx reps/management made it a point to remind customers of this loophole, thus sucking them into their vortex of paying physicians for using their product. Next, look how involved MiMedx became with one of the shadiest physician owned hospitals of all time, Forest Park Medical Center, in Dallas.

What MiMedx did was wrong. Plain and simple. It took a while for all the pieces to come together but it's obvious that a case is being built against them by the government. And this kind of behavior is part of what they're looking into.

Great question:

Why isn't there any Open Payment data for Mimedx?

Where is it??

I can't believe the MiMedx board let Petit put up Cohodes picture at the NSM.

I do wonder if all of their customers realize there is an active DOJ and FBI investigation against Mimedx. They should all stay away unless they want their name dragged in.

I don't think Parker cares. He has to be a sociopath. Who else would put out unreviewed earnings numbers with all the scrutiny (and investigations) the company is under? He really has to be certifiably insane. To make him sound even crazier, he increased guidance for 2018. LOL! This guy is a real treat.

post

This is crazy. Did you Mimedx reps know your company wasn't reporting physician payments?

Of course not! 99% of the reps are innocent and will eventually be brought down by Parker and his management team.

Now the docs that are being paid by MiMedx are being outed by the short sellers. I don't know how they are getting this info unless reps are sending in their tips to the short sellers. Either way, they are being exposed.

Marc Cohodes is going to give out the names of all the surgeons taking kickbacks from Mimedx. Their time is up.

Parker chickened out and didn't show up to Harvard to debate Marc. Huge lost opportunity for him.

post

there is too many to list . I just asked a surgeon why he is using Epifix and he told me because Mimedx gave a 50K "grant" for research purposes during his fellowship . "research" Sure !

don't they say , "there is no such thing as bad publicity" ?

Well this Wall Street Journal artical lays out some prettydamaging items very well from multiple perspectives. Making Mimedx CEO and management look naive and incompetent.
