Allergan and Sonja Morgan are continuing her partnership with CoolSculpting to talk about "Bikini Denial" which is a feeling many women get around swimsuit swimsuit season as they are not prepared to hit the beach or pool until they get rid of their stubborn fat.
Enter CoolSculpting, an FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate fat. The product was developed by ZELTIQ and is now sold by Allergan after acquiring ZELTIQ in 2017.
"I am thrilled to partner with CoolSculpting and educate women about Bikini Denial. It is true that any body is a bikini body, but many women feel like they need a little help sometimes," said Morgan. "This year, I decided to try CoolSculpting to reduce pockets of stubborn fat in my flank or muffin top area that are resistant to diet and exercise so I can be bikini-ready this season."
Allergan is using other famous faces such as Golfer, Ian Polter, and Celebrity Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Paul Nassif, in an effort to generate demand for the growing procedure.
Golfer Ian Poulter is Cool Sculpting's Newest Spokesperson
In 2018, Allergan placed approximately 1,200 CoolSculpting systems, which was a record number for the company. In 2019, Allergan believes they will sell somewhere near 1,000 systems and rely on disposable sales to aid in CoolSculpting's growth.
Time will tell if Allergan's marketing efforts and celebrity partnerships will be enough to continue increased system and disposable sales.
