What is medtechy and how can it benefit medical sales reps?

Isn't Medtechy just Cafepharma for the medical device industry?
The answer is no, but we've heard the question before.
We understand the similarities as both sites have anonymous messages boards for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. However, aside from the message boards, that is where the similarities end.
Ok, well then what is medtechy and what can the site do for me?
This is also where we have to admit we've done a poor job educating our community and potential visitors of what you can do on Medtechy besides read and respond to our message boards.
For this, we apologize and would like the opportunity to give you a brief introduction to our site!
Medical Sales Salary Survey
One of the biggest frustrations we've had in our medical sales experience is the uncertainty of what you will make as a sales rep at a new company. Sure, recruiters tell you what most of the reps are making but those numbers are usually higher than what reps are actually making.
This is why we came up with an intuitive salary survey for reps in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
There are a number of ways to access the survey but we added pictures on how to access it from the message board home pages.
You can also find all of our surveys on our homepage.
Once you click the "Take Salary Survey" a box will come up with a simple questionnaire.
Enter your company name and our system will automatically populate the box for you. From there, enter the requested information and you have now anonymously helped thousands of employees in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
As you can see, the questions are not generic, unlike a number of surveys you'll find out there. We understand the industry and know what questions are important to others in medical sales.
Once we have enough submissions for each company, we will publish those results on each company's message board. The results will also be updated quarterly in order to give employees the most up-to-date information possible.
One of our goals in starting Medtechy was to allow the sharing of knowledge in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Some of this comes from the message boards but we wanted to take it a step further.
This is where the idea to collect salaries and ratings came from. In a couple of quick steps, reps can become an industry insider and help others understand what the culture is really like at a company.

As you can see, these surveys are free, painless and take less than a minute to complete.
If you find the survey is as painless as we promised, please share the link with the rest of the reps at your company as we can then publish the actual compensation data to your company message board.
From here on out, there will be no secrets on what the reps at your company are making.
We'll be the first to admit that we're not happy with our job platform in its current state. There are still thousands of jobs on our job board but we know they can be better.
Don't mistake that for thinking jobs aren't important to Medtechy.
In fact, we are in the final development stages of a new job partnership and platform that we're very excited about.
We take design and ease of use seriously and we promise the extra time we're taking to launch this new partnership will be worth it.
The jobs will all be current and from quality employers in the medical sales space.

Anonymous Message Boards
In its current state, the message boards are the foundation of Medtechy. There are over 500 company and hospital message boards on the site and they are 100% free to use.
The goal for Medtechy was to give industry insiders the ability to share information without the fear of retaliation. If there is something bad going on at your company, feel free to anonymously share the information on our boards. It's why we created the site.
Over the course of a year, we have built a number of filters to help protect our users from adult content and we are proud of where the site is currently at. Users can embed Tweets from Twitter, pictures, news articles and much more.
If you haven't tried our boards, go ahead and share what's going on at your company, or even a company you worked at in the past if you like. If you are scared, go ahead and write a test post. We promise it is anonymous!
How can Medtechy help medical device reps?
When you add all of the benefits listed above together, Medtechy provides the most comprehensive information sharing tool in the medical sales industry.
But that's just the start.
Our goal is to get better and continue adding features to the site. As we mentioned earlier, our new job platform is right around the corner and then we will get back to the lab to start working on our next project.
